BRADS WEDDING
by Kim on

Hey guys!!!  One last thing.  Bethany and I have seriously talked about attending Brad's wedding in December.  Jim wants to go as well.  HONESTLY!!!  If you are at all interested and would like us to help plan the trip, let me know.  This will be an amazing time together.  Let me know as soon as possible!!!  I'm going to be earnestly putting this "trip" together so the faster I know, the cheaper it can be.

Trailer
by Brad on

Hey Everyone!! I've just seen the short trailer and it looks awesome!! It brings back so many memories of the whole trip.  Great Job Rams and Jason, it looks heaps good, really professional and captures the essence of the trip (as much as you can in 2min).
Well I hope everyone is well, I haven't really heard from anyone in a while. Continue to stay strong in our Lord.

Blogging Again
by Brad on

Hi Everyone!!

Well, I am still on holidays.  I have one week left and I'm going away with my family and girlfriend Katherine.  I'm really enjoying the time that I have to spend relaxing and spending time with people that I care about before having to head back for another semester at uni.

The exam went fine, I should hopefully pass but I haven't got results back yet so we'll just have to wait and see.

The last 3 weeks at my church have been really exciting. Firstly, I got to share about the trip with my congregation.  Hopefully there may be oppurtunities in the future to do a longer presentation.  Last week a man from England came to share with us.  He works for Langham partnership who work with Christians all over the world in seeking to resource and train particularly ministers.  This week we had 3 brothers with us from Uganda and Democratic Republic of Congo.  We had an African style service and the whole night was amazing

Its been awesome to be thinking about the global nature of Gods kingdom as a church.  Revelation 7 promises us that we will all join together as a great multitude of many nations to glorify God and we've been encouraged to start living our lives in service of our brothers and sisters around the world, lives that truly reflect the global reality of the church.

Anyway, I hope and pray that this finds you safely and that God will continue to shower his blessings on you whatever you may be doing. It's late here so I hope what I've written is intelligible.

Hi All - Back from India
by gcleary on

Hi Everyone -

I arrived home from India on Wednesday, and was checking out the site today to see who has blogged recently. I had a great trip to India - a good conference and a good time seeing my dear friends and all of 'our girls' at the orphanage we support [233 of them!]. It is nice going there because it is like a 2nd home. [I even have my own room with a little red fridge!] Steve and I also sponsored a trip to a water park for all of them on Monday, so that was fun. They all had a blast, and we adults had fun sitting around and relaxing and watching them all splash around in the water, come down the water slides and eating ice cream. I also had fun creaming some of them on the bumper cars!

But as always - it is so good to be home with my guys! Steve has been a bit under the weather off and on, but overall is fine. He and Jordan have been dirt biking, and Tuesday Jordan had his first major crash on his bike...  He flew about 30 feet in the air as he missed a turn at the track. Thank God he is ok - just a few bumps and bruises and a slight concussion. He cracked his helmet, but thank goodness for good gear that protects him. On the 16th we are off to Montana to see our daughter for a week, so we have basically one week to catch up!

I hope you all have a great summer! I miss all of you and hope you keep checking into the site and giving us a blog occasionally to let us know what you are up to. We will do the same and keep you updated on the progress of the video.

Chaio for now - Ginny

The Aussie Contingent
by Wendy on

Hi everyone,

Just to let you know that the Aussies have got together nearly a week after Brad and Taani got back just to share and debrief about the trip.  I believe that American's don't debrief, but that is part of the Australian culture....to check up how people felt about the trip and where we are all going to take the experience now.

What have the American's been up to?  How are you all feeling now that you have been back?  Have you had a chance to go and talk to your churches?  what has been the response?

We all had a lovely dinner, a pot luck(eaten with cutlery) and talked all about you guys over there.  We feel like we know most of you from your blogs and wish that you could have been with us here.

Good Steve says that he misses you heaps and HEAPS.  Taani's Dad had to put the car in reverse because he was going to drive over the dunny and he tried heaps hard to miss the dunny.  Fortunately he missed it.

We finished with lollies, lollipops and ice blocks (not really we finished with Sticky Date Pudding and butterscotch sauce - because it is winter here).

Did Wes' mum get her robe...we are all agog here waiting to find out.  Taani's mum got a heaps cool handbag.

Do you know we are taking the mickey outa y'all.

Everyone does think that bad Steve is really a good Steve but they like the name bad Steve so it has stuck.

Seriously, thank you Steve, Ginny, Jason, ramsey and gary an all the teenagers for such a wonderful experience.

Looking forward to keeping in contact with y'all (I am being dictated this bit and I don't understand y'alll....It needs to be you all.
